Robust Model Predictive Control for a Class of Discrete Nonlinear systems

This paper presents a robust model predictive control scheme for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems subject to state and input constraints. Each subsystem is composed of a nominal LTI part and an additive uncertain non-linear time-varying function which satisfies a quadratic constraint. Using the dual-mode MPC stability theory, a sufficient condition is constructed for synthesizing the ...

Computationally Efficient Long Horizon Model Predictive Direct Current ‎Control of DFIG Wind Turbines ‎

Model predictive control (MPC) based methods are gaining more and more attention in power converters and electrical drives. Nevertheless, high computational burden of MPC is an obstacle for its application, especially when the prediction horizon increases extends. At the same time, increasing the prediction horizon leads to a superior response. In this paper, a long horizon MPC is proposed to c...

Learning Model Predictive Control for Iterative Tasks: A Computationally Efficient Approach for Linear System

Abstract: A Learning Model Predictive Controller (LMPC) for linear system is presented. The proposed controller builds on previous work on nonlinear LMPC and decreases its computational burden for linear system. The control scheme is reference-free and is able to improve its performance by learning from previous iterations. A convex safe set and a terminal cost function are used in order to gua...

A Computationally Efficient Formulation of Robust Model Predictive Control using Linear Matrix Inequalities

In this paper, we present an off-line approach for robust constrained MPC synthesis that gives an explicit control law using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). This off-line approach can address a broad class of model uncertainty descriptions with guaranteed robust stability of the closed-loop system and substantial reduction of the on-line MPC computation.
